Meeting Minutes

The Archives can be accessed at the bottom of this page. JULY 7, 2010 Glenn Matula called the meeting to order as Bill Jacobs and Paul Hanson were out on special assignment. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. at the Eagle River Inn. Motion to approve the June 2nd, 2010 minutes was made by Jeff Miller; motion carried. Treasurers Report: Previous Balance $28,607.87 RVP Report: Jeff advised nothing from International. International is looking for by-law changes submissions for the October meeting. Basically no communications. Membership: Jim Chamberlin advised that we have 417 members; no new to add and 13 dropped members. Jim has post card reminders going out to the dropped members. Fish Report: Dale Peterson says of present we have 164 fish registered. Detailed information will be in the newsletter. Dale wanted every one to be sure to register their fish as Headwaters would like to be number one! Alliance: No news. Members Outing: Our next members outing will be held on July 17th at the Bucktale Inn. Fish need to be registered by 6:00 P.M. Sandwiches will be supplied to club members. Docks/Boat Landings: Bob Jacobs advised no new news. Discussion was made to see if there is state grant money to cover landings and boat launch improvements Newsletter: No News. Old Business: John Schmidt made a motion to withdraw and table our membership in the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce. John wanted to table for one month as talks between Headwaters and the Chamber are taking place. New Business: Received two entries for the Fall Classic. Banquet Report: No news. Spring Classic: Jim and Carol Heffner had a detailed report submitted. The report showed a very successful tournament. A big thanks to Jim and Carol for a very well run tournament. Youth: Art advised that Kids Guide seminar is held every Tuesday at the Settle Inn at 6:30 P.M. Chapter Challenge: The Gil Hamm will be held on August 27th, 28th and 29th. The Gil Hamm Challenge will be held at Lake Vermilion, Cook, Minnesota. There are two openings for any members that are interested. Motion to Adjourn was made by Jim Rechlitz and seconded by Bob Jacobs. Guest Speaker: Scott Samuels arrange guest speaker Marv "Bwana" Elliot.
